EV & hybrid

High-voltage parts, safely sourced.

UK breakers that specialise in electric and hybrid vehicles — IMI-EV qualified technicians, SoH-tested batteries and full HV-safe handling. Tesla, Leaf, ID.3, MG, Hyundai, Kia and more.

Specialist EV part categories

Request a quote and our EV-trained breakers will respond with tested parts and reports.

Battery modules & packs

Tested HV modules and full packs with capacity (SoH) reports and cell-balance data.

Inverters & converters

DC-DC converters, traction inverters and onboard chargers — bench-tested where possible.

Drive motors

Front and rear traction motors, reduction gearboxes and motor mounts.

Charge ports & cables

Type 2, CCS2 and CHAdeMO inlets with pilot wiring and charging harnesses.

ECUs, BMS & gateways

Battery management systems, vehicle control units and gateway modules — VIN-coded on request.

HV safety components

Contactors, service disconnects, HV cables, fuses and pyrotechnic isolators.

Every battery comes with a SoH report

Capacity, internal resistance and cell-balance figures are taken on calibrated equipment so you know exactly what you're buying — no mystery packs.

IMI-EV qualified handling

HV components are removed, transported and packaged by technicians qualified to IMI TechSafe Level 3/4. ADR-compliant transport for damaged-cell shipments.

Genuinely circular

Reusing an EV battery module avoids ~60–80 kg of CO₂e per kWh versus new manufacture. Cells unfit for traction are routed to second-life storage.

HV safety & certified installation

High-voltage parts only leave our network with the right people fitting them.

Anything above 60 V DC is regulated work under HSE GS38 and IMI TechSafe. We label every listing accordingly and refuse to release safety-critical HV components to unqualified buyers — even at the cost of a sale.

Authorised EV recycler network

HV-listed yards must hold an Environment Agency / SEPA / NRW ATF licence with the EV addendum, employ IMI EV Level 3+ technicians and follow the Vehicle Recyclers' Association EV Code of Practice. Audited annually.

"Certified installer required" labelling

HV batteries, packs, drive units, inverters, BMS modules and pyro-isolators ship with a red HV tag and require proof of an IMI EV Level 3 (or manufacturer-approved) installer before dispatch. We'll suggest a vetted installer near you on request.

Restricted brands & components

We do not list Tesla HV batteries, drive units or BMS modules — there is no authorised used-parts pathway and aftermarket fitment voids warranty and insurance. The same policy applies to Porsche Taycan, Audi e-tron GT, Lucid and Rivian HV drivetrains.

Components flagged "certified installer only"

  • • HV battery modules & full packs
  • • Traction inverters & onboard chargers
  • • Front/rear drive motors & reduction units
  • • Battery management systems (BMS)
  • • HV contactors, fuses & service disconnects
  • • Pyrotechnic isolators (one-shot devices)
  • • HV orange cabling & junction boxes
  • • DC-DC converters & PTC heaters

Tesla owners — read this first

We list Tesla body panels, glass, trim, suspension, brakes and 12 V electronics, but not HV batteries, drive units, BMS, HV harnesses or charge-port controllers. Aftermarket HV components on a Tesla can disable Supercharging, void the 8-year battery warranty and trigger insurance write-off. For HV repairs use Tesla Service or a Tesla-Approved Body Shop.

EV & hybrid models we regularly break

Coverage spans early hybrids through to the latest 800-volt EV architectures. If your model isn't listed, our network of specialist yards almost certainly still handles it.

EV & hybrid parts FAQs

Are used EV battery modules safe?

Yes, when handled correctly. Our breakers are IMI-EV qualified, discharge packs before removal and provide a state-of-health (SoH) report with every module or pack. HV components ship in approved transit containers.

Can I get a replacement battery for my Nissan Leaf or Tesla?

Most popular EVs are covered — Nissan Leaf (24/30/40/62 kWh), Tesla Model S/3/X/Y, Renault Zoe, VW ID.3/4, MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona Electric and Kia e-Niro. Submit your reg and required capacity and matching yards will quote.

Do you supply hybrid (HEV/PHEV) parts too?

Yes — Toyota and Lexus hybrids, Honda IMA, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, BMW i3/iX and others. Inverter, motor-generator, HV battery and DC-DC converter listings are all available.

Are charge ports and CCS inlets interchangeable?

Charge inlets are model-specific (Type 2, CCS2, CHAdeMO connectors plus vehicle-side wiring and pilot circuitry). We match by VIN-level part number, not just connector shape.

What about ECU coding for EV control units?

We supply VCUs, BMS modules and gateway ECUs ready for dealer or specialist coding. Where possible we provide pre-coded units matched to your VIN — please supply it with your request.

Who can legally install a used HV battery or drive unit?

UK guidance (IMI TechSafe and HSE GS38) restricts HV work (anything above 60 V DC / 30 V AC) to technicians qualified to IMI EV Level 3 or above. Every HV part we list ships with a 'Certified installer required' label and we will not release HV components for DIY fitment. Ask us for installer recommendations in your postcode.

Do you sell Tesla HV batteries, drive units or BMS modules?

No. Tesla does not operate an authorised used-parts agreement for safety-critical HV components, and fitting non-OEM HV parts can void Tesla warranties and invalidate insurance. We list Tesla body panels, interior trim, glass, suspension and 12 V electronics only. For Tesla HV repairs we refer customers to Tesla Service or an Tesla-Approved Body Shop.

Which other brands have restricted HV listings?

We follow the same approach for Porsche Taycan, Audi e-tron GT, Lucid and Rivian battery packs and drive units where no authorised second-life pathway exists. Lower-risk HV ancillaries (charge ports, cables, contactors) remain available under our certified-installer policy.
