The story of Honda
Soichiro Honda founded Honda Motor Co. in 1948 making piston rings, then motorcycles, then in 1963 its first car.
Honda built UK cars at Swindon (Civic, CR-V, Jazz) from 1992 until plant closure in 2021; UK customers are still served by a dense breaker network of Civic and CR-V spares.
Honda's i-MMD and e:HEV hybrid drivetrains now lead the brand's electrification push in the UK.
