Škoda was founded in 1895 by Václav Laurin and Václav Klement as a bicycle maker, then a motorcycle and car manufacturer.
Nationalised in 1945 and partnered with VW in 1991, Škoda has become the value-led pillar of the VAG family with the Octavia and Superb earning huge UK followings.
