The story of Ford
Henry Ford founded the Ford Motor Company in 1903 and changed manufacturing forever with the moving assembly line for the Model T.
Ford of Britain opened in 1909 and built cars at Dagenham and Halewood for decades — the Cortina, Escort, Fiesta and Focus became national best-sellers.
