The story of Citroen
André Citroën founded the brand in 1919, importing American mass-production methods to Europe and giving the world the Traction Avant — the first mass-produced front-wheel-drive monocoque car.
The 2CV, DS and CX defined French motoring quirkiness; the Berlingo and Dispatch defined the modern compact van.
