The story of Fiat
Fiat (Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino) was founded in 1899. The 500 "Topolino" and 600 motorised post-war Italy; the new 500 (2007) became a global retro hit.
Fiat Group acquired Chrysler in 2014, then merged with PSA in 2021 to form Stellantis — making Fiat part of the world's fourth-largest automaker.
Fiat shares platforms across Stellantis (Peugeot, Citroën, Vauxhall, Jeep) — and the Ducato is the dominant European motorhome and large-van base.
