The story of Jaguar
Jaguar began as Swallow Sidecar Company in 1922, renamed Jaguar in 1945 to shed wartime associations with the SS abbreviation.
The XK120, E-Type, XJ and XJS established Jaguar as Britain's grand-touring icon, with Le Mans wins in 1951–53 and 1955–57.
Now part of JLR under Tata, Jaguar is repositioning as an all-electric ultra-luxury brand from 2025 onwards, building on the award-winning I-Pace.
